Children from inner-city Bradford were given the chance to experience hospital life and learn vital first aid advice as part of a school trip during October.

Pupils from year six at Springwood Primary School in Manningham spent the day touring round Bradford Royal Infirmary, visiting the accident / emergency department and X-ray rooms, as well as doing role plays for phoning ambulances and what to do next in certain situations.
The school's learning mentor Khalil Hussain said: "It's a real bonus coming here. It puts all the children at ease if they have to visit a hospital one day in the future."
BRI's Lindsey Forrest, who gave the children lessons on CPR (the kiss of life) added: "The kids have had butterfly stitches, had their hearts monitored and had oxygen masks.
"It means when they come into hospital for real, they're not scared. All our doctors say how much days like this help."
