Asian history
A new two-year research project at the University of Huddersfield, called Ethnic Voices, aims to collect memories from the first Asian immigrant communities throughout the Kirklees area.
Researchers at the University have been awarded a grant of £10,000 to start up a major project that will eventually interview hundreds of members of the Asian community about their first experiences of arriving in Huddersfield.
The project will be setting up a web-site soon to be announced.
